Hello we started as an AirBnB in 2015 & then had to navigate problems with a neighbor who hired a lawyer to shut us down. We became a country inn & we’re still operating today. We’re The Old Mill Manor in Almonte & I’m reaching out to see if hosts would like to gather monthly in person to discuss challenges & opportunities. Thank you, Julie

My neighbors tried to close me down by constantly calling bylaw on me. The town knew we were good for tourism so the planner gave us a country inn designation. The neighbors contested & we had to hire the town lawyer. 3 years later & 30,000 in lawyers fees & an extra 8,000 in septic tank expansion we are now able to say we’re a registered country inn! Where are you from?
