Jamaican Host - payouts are incorrect

I am a Jamaican Host. My airbnb payouts are incorrect over and over again. For example, Airbnb sends me a payout mail saying 'a payout of 49,56 US dollars was issued. This equals 7566 Jamaican dollars. But when I check my bank account I see a transfer of 3676 Jamaican dollars. This happens for every payment. I only get about half of the money. Payout method is international wire transfer. I missed out on more than 50000 jamaican dollar already. I do not get an answer from airbnb. They escalated it to the payments department but I got no answer. The only thing they keep saying is 'we transfer the Jamaican dollars from a booking to US dollars and then we transfer it back to Jamaican dollars'. Now, I understand this, but that cannot mean that only half of the money is left when it reaches my account. What should I do? I feel I should take this up with a lawyer. I feel very frustrated. We are doing all the work to provide hosting but we are not getting the money we should. Please advise.

@David9225,

There are usually fees for both sending and receiving wire transfers.  For example, it costs me $40 USD to wire money from my US bank account, and $30 XCD to receive the funds in my St. Lucia account.  Do you know how much Airbnb charges for each wire transfer?  You can confirm with your bank their exchange rate and fees for currency conversion and inbound wire processing.

Also, since you are a Belgian, you may want to consider that the funds are directly deposited into your Belgian account, and then you can make wire transfers to Jamaica at your own schedule.
