My name is Mark and my wife Greta and I are excited to learn about hosting a short-term rental. Our property is listed in Manhattan, KS and has been very successful thanks to our Super Host Manager Mallory. I have been in wheelchair for 20+ years and try to create some accessible housing (which ours is) where ever we live, as true wheelchair accessible short-term rentals are very hard to find. Sometimes it's just a matter of keeping us wheelers in mind when you are setting up your Airbnb. For instants buying an inexpensive light weight foldable ramp for less than $200 ** to keep in the coat closet and a wider door if replacing. Nictitates to have maybe installing a roll-in shower wider doors and hallways but these things are not always necessary. Just that ramp maybe all your property needs. **
t’s amazing to hear about your experience, and thank you so much for sharing these helpful insights with our community. The tips you've shared, like using an affordable foldable ramp, are incredibly practical and can make a huge difference for accessible accommodations.
How has your transition to self-managing the property been so far?
We haven't completed the transaction due to the current host having some family emergencies but will hopefully complete it in a week or so. Thanks for the warm welcome!
