MC and JMB prohibit short term stay

As you may know, condominiums in Malaysia are generally prohibited from operating homestays. Both my Management Corporation (MC) and Joint Management Body (JMB) prohibit short-term rentals. I've been searching for a tenant, but unfortunately, it seems there’s no interest in renting the unit at this time.

I believe they're monitoring this situation by sending a spy on Airbnb. I received a few messages asking whether is it ABC Condominium (not a real name). They even requested to come and check the unit before they make any booking.  If I'm caught, I could definitely face a fine.

I really need to operate this homestay to help pay my housing loan, as I am currently unemployed.

I'm sorry to hear you are unemployed but it's a high risk strategy for you to put your apartment up for short term rental when you know it's prohibited @Nik-Aznee-Felina0

What channels have you used to try and find long term tenants ?

As our experienced host Helen mentioned, have you explored other channels to attract more long-term renters?
