NYC Registration application denial

"Your Short-Term Rental Registration Application with the New York City Mayor’s Office of Special Enforcement (OSE) has been reviewed. Based on the existing submission, OSE will deny the application for the following reason: After an initial review of your application, OSE has found that there is an uncorrected violation that endangers the occupants of the unit, and is providing this notice as soon as possible to allow you time to obtain the needed corrections while your application remains under review. Please note that once OSE completes its review of the application, there may be further deficiencies that will need to be addressed. As of today, OSE found there is an uncorrected violation of the New York City Fire Code that OSE has determined endangers the occupants of the unit, specifically, FDNY violation 011444607K, and information on how to correct this violation may be found at https://www.nyc.gov/site/fdny/business/violations/violations.page"

1. I have emailed and called the FDNY for the last 3 months and no one calls me back. The phone number goes into voice mail.

2. No one responds to my emails at the Mayors Office (OSE)

The violation appears to be in the doctors office in my building and I cannot do anything about another businesses violation.  Has anyone had a similar issue or luck getting through to the FDNY or does anyone have a contact there?

Thanks,

Carl

Hello @Carl9158, I am sorry about this situation.

As our community is a global forum, it can take some time for fellow local Hosts in New York to come across your post. It might be a good idea to reach out to fellow Hosts in your area through the closest Local Host Clubhttps://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Local-Host-Clubs/ct-p/en_clubs

I hope this helps.

Hey Carl-

I also just got a pending dental today from OSE:

There are uncorrected violations of the New York City Fire Code that OSE has determined endangers the occupants of the unit, specifically, FDNY violations011745939X; 011426534J; 011426533H; 011395523P, and information on how to correct this violation may be found at https://www.nyc.gov/site/fdny/business/violations/violations.page

I called 311, the number you mentioned which also goes straight to voicemail. Created a account on FDNY, checked the violations within the system (which provided zero info) and left fdny and email here:

FDNYbusinesssupport@fdny.nyc.gov

There is no commercial space in my building so I have no clue how to proceed. Guess we can both be clueless together?

Got the same message! Did you get any updates on it recently?

Any idea what all this means..or how to resolve this?

Im trying to figure out if that means the city is sending us a summon for a violation..?because if thats the case, it seems like a pretty big deal..
or if it just means a denial of the application for the short term rental.

thank you
Simon
