Overcharged

Hi there. I was overcharged $19.73. Airbnb keeps saying it shows they took out a lesser amount, which yes, it shows on my receipt the amount they are saying they took out, The amount they were supposed to take out, the correct amount. Only they did not take that amount. It is not a bank charge. It is a charge Fully from Airbnb. It’s been a week, no one is helping me at Airbnb. I’ve called, I’ve messaged over and over. They never respond. Or if they seldom do they say they will pass it along to a specialist. I reached out again three times today. I’ve heard nothing.

@Jes3846  I realize it's the principle of the thing and certainly they shouldn't have charged more than they said they did, but I can't imagine wasting so much time with CS over $19.73.

But be persistent if it's that important to you.

@Sarah977 Hi there! I’m a single mother who works six jobs. Why would you leave such a bizarre comment. If Airbnb is doing this to numerous people, which they very well may be, the amount of money they are stealing would be pretty colossal. If someone could please leave a helpful comment who has dealt with an overcharge before that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

@Jes3846 I would dispute the charge with my financial institution if I were you, just like an overcharge from any other merchant.
