Prospects for vacation rentals in NYC this summer

Hey hosts, Any sense of what we can expect this summer? Agonizing about whether to just continue to rent at lower margin long term or will there by some travellers coming?? The big question I am sure...are people seeing more inquiries? Help me decide!

@Lauren2752 given the way the vaccination program is going I would suggest you switch to long term rental for the next year or so unless you can take the financial risk of not hosting this summer

You might be best posting this on the NY host forums @Lauren2752

As a global community everyone has different experiences.

the vaccination programme is going incredibly well in the UK so presume @Mike-And-Jane0  has some insider knowledge on how things are going in NYC.

@Helen3 You don't need inside information to find out from Bloomberg :

In the U.S., the latest vaccination rate is 1,817,502 doses per day, on average. At this rate, it will take an estimated 7 months to cover 75% of the population with a two-dose vaccine.

Combine this with the number of people saying they do not want the vaccine and there is likely to be an issue for this summer in the USA
