Refunds and occupancy taxes

Recently I had to refund two separate guests one night refunds (one was a power outage one was the fires), is there a way to do this so it is reflected in the total we actually received from the guests?

i got the full payout from Airbnb but had to pay the guests separately which is not reflected in the total paid which will mess up my taxes.

also, I don’t see “occupancy tax” listed on the payout section.  Isn’t Airbnb supposed to do this????

do I have to manually do this?

thank you

@Tina6963  That is an accounting annoyance!  You'll have to make a manual notation and remember to tell your accountant.

You won't see occupancy taxes noted in the payout.  The guest sees them (see screenshot below) and Airbnb collects them and remits them to the state.
