Short term let licence England

Hi all,

I'm getting my first property ready for Airbnb, and I saw that I'll need to get a license by June 2025.
I've been looking for information on where and how to apply for one but I can't find anything.

The property is in Bolton, England. Do you know anything that could help me?

@Nicolas2436 Where did you see you need a licence? The last government was talking about a register for Airbnbs and also requiring planning permission in some areas but then it went a bit quiet. It was also intended that PP would be granted automatically for existing properties.

If I were you I would get on and open quickly then you will be grandfathered in to any requirements. Do check you insurance, mortgage provider and fire risk assessment though before you start.

@Nicolas2436 yep I think this has got a bit lost with the change of government. I am sure it will come at some point but hasn't appeared (for England) yet.
