Support animals
Insane that people are allow to bring animals into a house after saying no pets in the description… they just need to say it’s a support animal. What a joke… I guess I need to disclose my health issues of being hyper allergic in my home description in order to let them know how serious I am. I will have to re-enter my house with animal hair in it now. Airbnb is on the decline in a big way. They side with the guests 100% of the time. Here I come VRBO. Ps if a woman from NY named Lorena tries to rent you house … know she is bring a dog that pisses and poo all over your deck and doesn’t clean up after it. What terrible human… i feel bad for the dog!

I'm sorry you had to deal with this situation. Unfortunately, not every host is as honest as we think. Did you get in contact with her after the stay? Did you speak with Customer Support?
Best,
Alex

It is too bad. The guest just hid behind airbnbs flawed service animal policy. I requested an additional cleaning g fee to get the house back to a level that I can live in it again. Who knows if I will get any reimbursement from her.
Thanks for the support Airbnb Community! Xo

I am sorry you had this bad experience .
Im sure you've already familiarising yourself with Airbnb's service animal policy but here's my summary .
If you homeshare and have a medical condition that means pet hair triggers allergies you don't have to accept service animals . @Krista-and-Steve0
I have an exemption because I am asthmatic. (I provided evidence from my doctor).
if the guest told you it was an emotional support pet you didn't have to accept the animal.
if the guest declared it was a service animal you can ask which tasks the animal helps the guest with and confirm as a service animal it must be with the owner at all times .
as you don't live at the listing as you are hyper allergic I suggest you get a cleaning service to go in and clean the property and do an extra charge to the guest for deep cleaning on the deck.
an honest review will help warn your fellow hosts.
