Wow, I have been a member of the airbnb community since 2014, and in June this year we started our own airbnb studio. Grateful of great reviews (5 star from all 42 guests), fully booked, and today I get a notice that I have been suspended immediately because my ID hasn't been verified. Like, there was no notification that airbnb didn't have it, as they have my address, bank details, profile, photo, etc, but suspended my calendar, removed my listing and indicated that I would not receive payments until I sorted it out. PERHAPS Airbnb could give SOME indication or notice that something is missing because nothing has ever come up at my end. So, submitted my driver's licence, but got a response that it's not clear (it was scanned in from a scanner). Honestly, considering the amount of times I get bookings from people that have flowers or scenery as "verified" bookings, you'd think airbnb would do more to vet these guests/so-called verified people considering their push to accept instant bookings than SUSPEND legitimate hosts trying their best to create a magical experience for guests and promoting airbnb.
