Unfair scam artist guest used my place stayed, partied and slept in beds clearly shown proof and photos on my end, then days later checksout

Airbnb's case manager Carl refunded a guest days after check out.

No communication on the app/platform (likely intentionally). If the guest had an issue and left my unit like Carl states the guest did. He would have for sure called myself, airbnb or messaged on the platform.

Instead he left me a voicemail stating he got in okay and settled into the unit.

Now days after he checks out and used my place (had a small party) - every shot glass I own in my dishwasher, all beds used clearly from photos cleaners take each time before and after cleaning.

I showed all kinds of proof to airbnb that the guest stayed and yet this Case Manager says the guest left because they took a pillow out of my closet with water marks on it - snapped photos at the door on the way out likely and stated for this reason the place is unclean and he did not stay.

PLEASEEEE are you kidding me!?

I will be posting all this on social media unless airbnb fixes this issue! Its completely outrageous and unfair!

I have soo much proof he used my place and it was over 3 days on a weekend. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! COMMON AIRBNB employee smarter managers who know how to investigate scam artists!

I just recently had a guest that scammed me as well. Stayed for 5 days out of a 7 day stay and then contacted Airbnb and obtained a complete refund without my consent based on fabrications.

I suspect both my guest and your guest has done this before.

To make matters worse, my listing was deactivated for 5 days based on this lie.

However, after 5 days and numerous phone calls and emails, my listing was reactivated.

Now almost two weeks later, this issue has been resolved thank goodness. I am very grateful to the customer service representative that i have now that fixed this issue.

Keep calling and keep emailing.

I figured out that many CS reps (outside of the US) have issues with determining if a guest is being deceitful, and they tend to look over glaringly obvious signs.

Good luck and I’m sure you will eventually find a CS rep that can handle your case fairly.

It’s unbelievable the way Airbnb exempts itself from any problem. I have a tenant that put my place to rent in Airbnb illegally and without my permission, and Airbnb does nothing! I already sent proofs, from the leasing contract to letters warning that I would call the police and nothing happens. The guy is renting the place for 5 months and stopped paying the rent, and Airbnb is aware of this fraud and even though nothing is done.

That is the guy, Carl and he is Swedish
