air bnb asking for hosts to confirm hosting details by giving them a social security number on an unsecure site

Air bnb sent me an email asking me to confirm my hosting details. I am being asked to give them my social security number on an unsecured site. They told me if I don't provide my social security number they will hold my pay outs. My computer was hacked two years ago. I do not provide my social security number on an unsecured site. They will not place the form in the mail or send me a secured link.  Any suggestions?  It is my understanding all hosts are being asked for this information

In the Uk Airbnb has done the same. @Melissa2593 

It's a requirement by our government under new regulations to ensure those selling services or products online pay taxes on their business. 

if you want to continue marketing your STR business on Airbnb it's something that needs to be provided im afraid.
