Hello, my name is Rose. I have used a few different types of of wireless security cameras but they all seem to have issues. I do connect to a solar panel but I still seem to have issues with battery life and with cameras going off line. I have used Arlo and wyze. Any suggestions for good security cameras? Thanks.
The issue may be with your wifi as well. Check to see the signal strength where the cameras are deployed.
Yes the Wi-Fi can be an issue @Zheng49
Some wire free cameras connect directly to the Wi-Fi signal and others use a hub. The TP-link has a hub that you physically plug into the modem, and the communication is then between the camera(s) and the hub (so the actual camera doesn't connect to the Wi-Fi). @Rose2635 it may be good to read up a bit about hub vs. no hub, maybe it helps to identify what's been bothering you with the cameras that you've tried so far. Or hopefully we have a camera expert around who knows more?
Hi @Rose2635 😊,
thank you for asking this question in the community center!
Did you look into hub vs. no hub as Shelley recommended?
Let us know what did you discover about this and what are you thinking to do about the camera issue.
I am sure other hosts with the same problem will love to read from you about this!
