We have bi-folding doors that open out on to a patio. They are locked with a key. We ask all guests to leave the key in the door overnight but I realise that the new guidance says "Exit doors, such as the front or back door, should always be easy to unlock and must not need a key to unlock them from the inside." Anyone else had a similar situation? Just thinking if there is a logical solution to this problem?
@Laura7330 I think patio doors have euro locks. You can easily replace these with a lock that has a key on the outside and a lever on the inside. Look at the Toolstation catalogue and you should find one suitable for about £15-20.
