Garage access

We are contemplating listing our part-time property on AirBnB.  Since we use the property part-time, we keep an extra car for when we stay at the property.  Access to the garage is not necessary to access the the house.  Would it be acceptable to restrict access to the garage?

Avoid using negative terms like "restrict". Simply - do not list it in amenities! Do not even place the photo. In that case, guests will not expect it (or more precisely, AirBNB wil not show your property for those who look for the place with the garage).

Only if someone asks for the garage, then tell them that it is for private use. And if the guest is arriving at the period when you don't plan to go there, so the garage is available - well, let them use. This will be a big plus!

@Goldie-And-Alexa0 's advice is perfect - If however the garage is shown in pictures (as it might be with exterior shots) then I would include a line in the 'about this space' section saying the garage is used for host storage and is not accessible to guests.
