I read that a host puts a chocolate on each pillow as a welcome surprise. Very sweet but... I feel like there is always a but...

Vinegar seems to work rather well and this way the people that have allergies are sensitive to smells won’t have a problem
@Ed419 indeed! Vinegar seems to be a tried, tested and trusted method! 👀 I'm sold, I need to try it. Thanks for your recommendation 😊
Hey @Valda35, thank you for sharing your tips. I was wondering if you have any secrets on how to keep your towels white 🤔
Do let us know how you get on with using vinegar 😊
Sorry for a late reply.
Don't wonder just put towel in w. machine +detergent +fabric softener and on it... see the magic after 30mins.. 😉
I use the gentlest washing program on the washing machine called Eco 40-60.
It uses the least amount of water and has the lowest consumption of
electricity.
In addition, I rarely or never use fabric softener because I believe that
it is both harmful to the environment and the towels.
I use a laundry ball inside the towels along with a little detergent.
After the washing machine is finished, they get a short round in the dryer
before I then stretch them a little bit and hang them on a drying rack.
If it's dry weather I put the drying rack outside (I do this all year round),
but if not it stays inside. I stretch the towels when I fold them.
This is my success recipe for soft towels all year round.

Thank you so much for sharing your tips @Per-Kuttainen-Ylimattila0 😎
I've always been very curious about laundry balls, do they really work? Have you found a difference with your laundry prior to using them? I'm very intrigued 🤔
Well, I have to say I was very skeptical about using it.
Because how could such a ball replace detergent?
After I started using it, for example, the towels went from
being slightly to very stiff to becoming soft after washing.
I have no other explanation than this laundry ball

Towels that We use in Hotel are white - big, middle and small ones.
After being used, they are washing in washing machine using washing powder and adding softener.
After that, We dry them into a drying machine.
If it happens that there is a stainspot on the towel, first We rub it out putting a bleach on it and after putting them into a washing machine.
Hello @Hotel752, I've used bleach on tea towels before, they were patterned and coloured but my naivety with bleach ruined them! 😳😭
Do you have any tricks to keep the towels white?
I believe adding fabric softener is a no-no
I use small detergent, add in some baking powder and some dettol, then wash as normal. Dry them in room temperature if in winter, outside in summer and ironing them always gives that fluffy feel
Thank you for sharing @Abi010 😊
How much baking powder and dettol do you use? 👀
I usually use 1.small scoop of baking powder and the dettol is the same amount which is just for infection purposes, just incase
ok, good idea, tq 4 sharing ...
