Hello everyone, I am a new host at Lane Cove NSW Australia. I would like to find a group in my suburb to share their experiences and questions I have for my suburb. How can I do that?

@Nadia1040. Welcome to the site..  I am from Huskisson Jervis Bay NSW. You will learn about different topics on this site,

There are several Australians who communicate on this page @Cathie19  from Darwin and @Robin4  from Mt Barker South Australia. They both have been doing Airbnb for many years and have lots of tips and ideas.

Their should be a Face group near you that you can join.

On your Menu if you press it. Go down to your account.

You will see  Connect with hosts near me. Put your information in under Host Clubs around the world. Under I am.... and Country then search. Australia pops up and then you can search Sydney.

I hope this helps.

From this Airbnb page you will see positive help and sometimes negative thoughts. Just weed through them all and find what helps you the most. You will get most of your answers from all helpful posts from around the world. 

Also Community Cafe has more ideas and questions.

If you need an answer look up the other boxes.

Ask about your listing.

Advice on your space.

Support with your bookings (this is not answered straight away as we are on a different time and our day is there night.

Sometimes you get different answers from different people with delays).

@Nadia1040  if you follow the steps above you that I manually did myself you will get to Australia. There is one group in Sydney and the other is further out at Penrith.

If you click on Sydney it will ask you to Join Group. The community managers are Penny and Felicity. If is the same Felicity she has written articles on this page on Sustainability and has an Airbnb on the North Shore.

@Nadia1040 Sorry about in not answering you sooner. Yes, getting the fire safety and emergency pack can be a bit daunting when you first start.

If you go to the NSW Government Short Term Rental Accommodatation (STRA) site and under Frequently asked questions.

Then go down to

I will message you with what I have put in my Emergency Plan and Emergency Information. Along with the evacuation drawings which go on all bedroom doors, like as in hotels.
