Hello @Heather2084 ,
In my opinion, hosting does change your lifestyle, and its important to be mindful of guests’ comfort. Let me ask you this: If a guest with a child were using the pool while your son and his friends weren’t, and they were making a lot of noise, would it bother you?
I think a successful host considers the guest experience, as just one or two bad reviews about noise can make it difficult to attract future bookings. If you’re open to some adjustments, like explaining to your son that while guests are staying, certain compromises might be needed - that’s totally fine. But if maintaining privacy and a quieter environment for guests feels like too big of a challenge, it might be worth considering whether hosting is the right fit.
