You can look at the useful community guides on this community and use the search function here as most issues have been covered @Tim4517

that's the best way to learn.

which other platforms have you gained experience on as a host?

Hi Tim,

Congratulations on your new brave start with airbnb. I have never been in Pakistan but I know how it feels to get started with a spare room, especially that you have to share your space with people you don't know (but this is how Brian and his partners, airbnb founders, also started). If you have specific questions, please ask the community, but I would highly recommend to do research. When I first got started, I was on airbnb.com every day to check how other people are doing it and what I could learn from their own listings and reviews. Search for private rooms like yours, view all five star listings and host profiles, etc. and carefully examine listing details. You will be surprised how much you can learn from research. As mentioned, the community forum here also has a lot of topics covered. I also noticed a lot of airbnb pros now share tips and tricks on YouTube as well. You can learn a lot online, so as Japaneese say, use Kaizen or CANI in English, that stands for Constant And Neverending Improvements and don't give up 🙂

Rose.
