hosting infants and setting up baby equipment

I'm wondering how we stand legally in the Uk on hosting infants and providing equipment in the property for parents to use. Should we provide it but expect them to put the baby gates up where they feel they would like them? Should they put up the travel cot provided or assemble the high chair and should we expect them to take these things apart before they leave? We haven't hosted infants to any level but we have taken on a new property and i think this will be more common place for us going forward. Infants are fre e guests and i'm also somehat concerned about the amount of time between change overs it will take to put up babygates and assemble equipment in amongst all the usual cleaning and prep work. I'm also concerned if i put a baby gate up and someone trips over it this will make me legally liable but if they assemble it then i wouldn't be found at fault if they tripped over it. Some advice on this aspect of hosting would be most welcome.

Hi @Anita-And-Bruce0

It's been a few days since you posted, and I just thought I'd check in and see if you'd made any decisions on hosting families with young infants in the meantime?

I found this post about baby proofing which might be an interesting read, and also thought I'd suggest using the search bar at the top of the screen to look for similar topics using key words such as "young families" or "hosting babies" as you won't be the first person to have asked such questions!
