Earlier this year, Airbnb announced that it was expanding its rewards program for Superhosts. Several new benefits were introduced, including an extra 20% cash bonus for referring new hosts. (Hosts can make up to $600 in referrals, depending on their location.) That’s in addition to the benefits Superhosts have long enjoyed, like priority placement in search results and the Superhost profile badge.
Since then, the Airbnb team has done more research to improve the Superhost experience even more. That’s why they’ve decided to adjust certain rewards to focus on the most impactful benefits. The goal is to expand the rewards program in the next year or so. Stay tuned for announcements on this— hopefully by early 2019.
If you’re a Superhost and want to learn more, log in to your account and visit the Superhost rewards portal.
The Airbnb team would love to hear your thoughts on Superhost rewards. Which benefits do you enjoy most? Which new benefits would you like to see?
We look forward to hearing from you on this one.
Thanks!

Love being a superhost - no complaints and the superhost dedicated line is very useful.
I would love to see an additional bonus in the form of discounted travel when we book an Airbnb place - a previous comment was to remove the Airbnb fee for superhost bookings and I think that would be a great gesture and discount!
@Anita219 Your listing is only at the forefront if you use Instant Book. Superhosts who don't are way down the search rankings, which is nasty.
@Marianne206 You won't even be able to decline the guy with a profile photo holding a rifle anymore- Airbnb, in its great wisdom, has now removed the possibility of seeing a guest's profile photo until AFTER they have a confirmed booking. And even then, Airbnb doesn't ask them to provide it- it will be up to hosts to ask the guest for it.
Strangely, I have had these $100 Superhost travel credits, but when I finally had an opportunity to travel, I could not find them to use them. Maybe they expire? I know I’ve been a Superhost since 2016; with no interruption. I should have a pile of them.
I really enjoyed my $100 travel credit when I first became a super host a shame we don't get one every time it renews as I don't feel there are really any benefits other than for the guest who can see your providing a pleasant place to stay in.
can we please not use the word impactful - I want to be effected or affected but I do not want to be impacted or impactful
The so called market price recommendations are rubbish and obviously system driven - if I followed them I would be broke.
I also cannot find our properties sometimes even though we have been so called SuperHosts for some time.
The communication locally is soemtimes good but sometimes awful.
As Superhosts I'd like to see our home feature in more local town searches, not just the ones automatically centred on our Postcode.
Currently we appear in two holiday resort towns, both 9 miles away, but not another busy holiday resort only 6 miles away?
Why is this,it makes no sense or logic whatsoever?
I do tink its harsh that even if we cancel one booking we loose our superhost status.
Sometimes its guests we do not want back and the cost of cancelling is too high.
Reading through some of the comments.... we recently received Superhost status.... curious about the $100 voucher I see mentioned, and about the little markers with Levels on them. Thanks
Hey airbnb: What about incenting the superhosts to be mentors for budding hosts by substantially discounting your commission fees (or eating them all) for superhosts when we book our own travel or experiences on airbnb? And structure it that we get that discount (or a greater discount) if we book with a non-superhost and are required to leave a constructive, private review for them. Use your best assets to champion your brand, mentor, and even be guardians. We're already committed to the brand and have a vested interest in only making it stronger, so if we see things that are questionable, you know we'll be reporting it.
ute I concur. I had a guest lie about how many guest were going to be there, then leave my home filthy and broke the crank on my patio shade that cost me to repair. My shade is very important because most of my bookings come from my spectacular views. I sent photos to AirBNB and I have yet to get re-imbursed and to top it off the guest wrote a review that was not appealing to say the least.
I have read the above thread with interest and agree that the Superhost status means very little and seems to be very easy to lose due to a mistake or a guest that one does not want to entertain. WE have had some dreadful guests over the summer...but often, the cleaners are unable to see the damage caused as hidden and only when we get back at the end of the summer does one discover the damage by which time no idea which guest caused the problems - although one has one's suspicions. However, how to reward Superhosts is a more tricky subject. My suggestion is as follows:
Superhosts should have the option to give other Superhosts a discount when they go travelling. We have multiple listings on Airbnb and travel a lot ourselves...I would most certainly prefer to stay at another superhost and even more so if I got a small discount, does not need to be much. However, as a host, and due to the different types of guests one has to accept, I would far prefer to entertain another Superhost as they would be guaranteed to look after my property as if their own. As said, it could be a tick box option and be something like a 10pc discount. Further, I believe that half this discount should come from the host and half out of Airbnb's 16% Service fee. Or if Airbnb really want to reward us, then maybe all should come out of their commission...but possibly this is pushing it too far.
I would be interested in Airbnb's views on this and those of other Super hosts. The key here is to increase the quality of guests...as am getting more and more frustrated by the behaviour of some.
@Nick21 According to many posts I've read on this forum, thinking other Superhosts "would be guaranteed to look after my property as if their own" is not at all true. Reports are that other hosts have been terrible guests, and have left bad reviews, which was quite shocking and disappointing for those who hosted them. They tend to nit pick every little thing, as if they are somehow comparing your place to theirs and find yours inferior. Hosts have had other hosts cancel last minute, ask for full refunds, and other things you'd expect another host not to do. In other words, they are not any better guests than anyone else.
I have no doubt in my mind that the BEST, repeating, THE BEST reward for holding a "SUPER-HOST"status for a period of time determined by AirBnB of course, is CASH PRIZES!! That would be AWESOME and would boost even higher our commitment to make our guests more and more welcomed to our homes. Im a 100% sure that it would be a "WIN-WIN" situation for both AirBnBand and happier Super-Hosts!! This is the third time in a row that a receive the $100 dollars voucher" and I did NOT used any of them because of my super busy schedule...It would be MUCH better and much appreciated if it was an account credit...PLEASE CONSIDER IT :))
