You’ve told us that managing reservations from home or on the go could be easier and more consistent. As we did with changes to your reservations list, we’ve listened to your feedback, studied hosts’ concerns raised with the community-support team, and run research studies to understand how we could improve your experience. Here’s a sneak peek of upcoming changes built on your input.
Consistent information wherever you go
Soon, whether you’re managing reservations on the Airbnb app or website, you’ll have the same set of reservation details available. What’s more, anywhere you see a reservation—in your calendar, the message thread, your dashboard, or your reservations list—you’ll be able to take action right from that screen, which means it will be faster and more efficient for you to handle each reservation.
More details about reservations and guests
We’re giving you more specific information about the status of each reservation. And you’ll also get more details about the guest associated with each reservation without having to click into their profile. You’ll know how long they’ve been on Airbnb, what languages they speak, and if they’re a host like you, so you can make confident booking decisions and interact with your guests efficiently and quickly, all from one screen.
More payment details
You’ve told us that you wanted your expected payout dates to be even more visible. Numerous hosts called our community support team about this, so we made sure payout dates were easier to find. We’ve added a link to your transaction history and expected payout dates alongside every reservation.
Answers to your frequently asked questions, right where you need them
By studying the types of questions that come up most often for inquiries and reservations, we’ve been able to anticipate what answers might be most helpful to you based on the reservation you’re currently managing. We’ve added links to reservation-specific FAQs at the bottom of every reservation so you can get the information you need, when you need it.
More consistent tools and views
Previously, if you had Instant Book turned on for a listing, you could only hold dates when you pre-approved a guest on the website. Now you can do so in the app too. And the private notes feature, which was previously available only in the calendar, is now available anywhere you see a reservation.
All these improvements are coming your way in the next few months, and we hope they help make quick work of managing your reservations. Thanks to all the hosts who gave us feedback and joined focus groups. Let us know what you think of these changes and others you’d like to see.
I used to be able to add the reservation to a Google calendar by clicking on the date, can't find how to do it now.
I miss not being able to see the Calendar when in the inbox for a client that is requesting to book. Any chance of bringing that feature back in?
Thanks.
Shirley

My listing has snoozed since the changes and this thread started. I've been back a month and simply hate not being able to see people or know their real name before they book. It is a serious issue for me as an older person in her own home renting out a room. It has all to do with honesty and integrity and I'm afraid Airbnb are colluding with people who have few morals or ethics. I do not like being constantly harrassed to reduce prices either, so the negatives of being an Airbnb host are far outweighing the positives! The one and only positives which remain are the reliable payment system and international exposure via a universally known and trusted brand. I'm not, however, sure how much Airbnb is really addressing the issues we have raised in our hundreds? thousands? The various Facebook groups would indicate many universally issues, which Airbnb just is not responding to. Not least the one brush suits all corporate high-handedness, irrespective of geographic location, cultural differences and type of accommodation.
Thanks for listening to us!
Where is the option to 'Make an offer' ?
I am very frustrated that I can no longer navigate to my inbox to review messages for a guest that has a checked out and has review pending. I often depend on those messages to remind me of details of a guests stay because I can't always write my reviews immediately. I often write sevel reviews in one sitting because it is easier to organize my time that way. I sometimes like to make comments that are specific and relevant to each guest, so I need access to my inbox for reference. It is not easy to remember all of those details after several guests have turned over. I also hate the new review format, mostly because it has lost all visual cues specific to each guest (Photo and name), so I can not be sure I am writing for the correct guest. The review format is also annoying because it is cumbersome to have to scroll trough several pages to write the review. I keep screen shots of what I have written because Airbnb does not supply access to private comments on reviews after they have been written and I like to have a record of these. Now I have to keep 6 screenshots every time I write a review rather than just 2 or 3. Please restore these features ASAP. This is making acces to information harder, not easier!
Please bring back the calendar was a very useful tool (the most useful infact)in the inbox to make a decision about the proposed booking we must now leave the booking page to see where the reservation sits with other bookings etc.. i dont understand why you removed this information the link to the calendar does not even go to the propsed date of the booking or marked you must note down the dates before you click on the calendar link and search for the month how is this better ?
I have written to Airbnb and also spoken to your staff regarding your cancellation policies.
I strongly feel another option should be made available.
I am on Strict, but I dont like the way its set up: Cancelation with in 48 hours 100% money back - or its only 50% money back - unless guest also cancels 2 weeks before arrival???? It makes no sense! And I've mentioned this to Airbnb many times!
The 48 hour window is a very small window forcancelation when booking, especially when guests are booking months in advance, and is off putting. I've been told this by guests.
My idea:
I would prefer for reservations more than 2 months in advance, that the guest is given a two month before arrival window of cancelation, and a minimum payment taken at time of booking (say $500.00 for my houses). The last payment made to Airbnb would be at 60 days before arrival date and would be shared with Hosts at this time ( it should be then now uncancellable).
Also, I think it is absolutely outrageous that Airbnb takes the City tax from the traveler at the time of booking despite how much in advance the guest books! This tax should be taken from the Guest as close as possible to the arrival date .
Airbnb is making a fortune by holding onto the travelers money - and doesn't share it with the host until the traveler is actually in their house.
Its a really an unbalanced and unfair distribution of wealth.
I believe the greed Airbnb will slow down the hosts bookings, unless there is a fairer way to treat BOTH Travelers and Hosts. My email is: camillamore40@gmail.com and I look forward to receiving a response.
Sincerely,
Camilla More

This whole redesign is terrible. I have to click many more times to get anywhere, the web-site works less efficiently, and it's far more confusing.
I'm not happy that photos of our living and dining rooms were deleted from our listing with out notifying us. The listing looks much less desirable and inquiries have dropped. Please contact me about replacing my photos. This is my third request.
And I just had someone who "inquired" about my room, and it wasn't at all clear how I "pre-accept" them.
On desktop, pre-approval is now on the left side of the screen. On the app, it's in the Details page.
Excellent improvement. Thanks for your creativity and hard work.
My prepared setting is P2,050 per night why is it that you're paying me less that that. The guest uses airconditioning 24/7. my earning is just breakeven if you are giving the price per night less than what I required.
