You’ve told us that managing reservations from home or on the go could be easier and more consistent. As we did with changes to your reservations list, we’ve listened to your feedback, studied hosts’ concerns raised with the community-support team, and run research studies to understand how we could improve your experience. Here’s a sneak peek of upcoming changes built on your input.
Consistent information wherever you go
Soon, whether you’re managing reservations on the Airbnb app or website, you’ll have the same set of reservation details available. What’s more, anywhere you see a reservation—in your calendar, the message thread, your dashboard, or your reservations list—you’ll be able to take action right from that screen, which means it will be faster and more efficient for you to handle each reservation.
More details about reservations and guests
We’re giving you more specific information about the status of each reservation. And you’ll also get more details about the guest associated with each reservation without having to click into their profile. You’ll know how long they’ve been on Airbnb, what languages they speak, and if they’re a host like you, so you can make confident booking decisions and interact with your guests efficiently and quickly, all from one screen.
More payment details
You’ve told us that you wanted your expected payout dates to be even more visible. Numerous hosts called our community support team about this, so we made sure payout dates were easier to find. We’ve added a link to your transaction history and expected payout dates alongside every reservation.
Answers to your frequently asked questions, right where you need them
By studying the types of questions that come up most often for inquiries and reservations, we’ve been able to anticipate what answers might be most helpful to you based on the reservation you’re currently managing. We’ve added links to reservation-specific FAQs at the bottom of every reservation so you can get the information you need, when you need it.
More consistent tools and views
Previously, if you had Instant Book turned on for a listing, you could only hold dates when you pre-approved a guest on the website. Now you can do so in the app too. And the private notes feature, which was previously available only in the calendar, is now available anywhere you see a reservation.
All these improvements are coming your way in the next few months, and we hope they help make quick work of managing your reservations. Thanks to all the hosts who gave us feedback and joined focus groups. Let us know what you think of these changes and others you’d like to see.
Very happy with these changes. It certainly makes coordination easier. Thanks
I wish it still showed what the guest pays in occupancy taxes. This helps us double check against our reservation system that we have our rates correct internally!
In my area I need to use the resolution center to collect state tax and transient accommodation tax. Linking those payments to the reservation, rather than listing them as a unique number would help my accounting a great deal. It is difficult to search through the transaction history to link these payments to the reservation.
I have not been able to see anything about the people that request to stay. I am forced to accept guests blindly and that was the reason I didnt want to work with booking.com
si he notado, amo airbnb pero esta teniendo demasiadas fallas, tengo 8 propiedades con uds. y me esta ocasionando muchos problemas
ojala se apuren a terminar sus cambios o déjenla como estaba que era perfecto
Can you please give us the hosts and potential guests as well an option to be able to change a number of guests before booking is confirmed. It is happening rather often - guests write in their enquiry or book as 1 guest, in messages they tell us there will be a different number of guests and it cannot be changed only after the booking is confirmed. This situation creates a LOTS of problems, because the price changes after certain number of guests. It is specified in the listing description, but most people don't read it and then the hassle starts - they don't want to pay extra for additional guests, or they cancel. We waste so much time going back and forth messaging and it is annoying for both sides. Thank you.
should have an extend reservation button
I just joined as a host. I know I'm not a technologist, but almost all my friends and family come to me when they're having PC problems ... and they're college educated and most have advanced degrees ... i.e., they are not idiots. If this is what you call "Managing reservations made simpler" then you need to hire someone that knows how to build an online reservation system and get rid of your Rube Goldberg specialists. I mean, your RG specialists are great at what they do, but the Airbnb system is like scheduling surgery with a podiatrist in response to a brain tumor diagnosis.

When you do, I will stop complaining in all caps. Promise.
Can't change all the pricing on a guest that has just checked in. Was finally able to change the room rate for the night, but could not change the cleaning fee for that room for the one night stay. This is a returning guest. I had to go on my computer to even change the room rate. This switching back and forth between phone app and computer is a pain, especially if I'm not home and have assess to my computer. HELP!
Thanks, Dottie
Since the updates have occurred I have lost the check-in icon at the bottom
if the page and the per written messages icon disappears then reappears. Also the name of the guest at the top of the page is replaced by my co-hosts names. Is anyone else having these problems with the mobile app? Does anyone know if this is being fixed?
Same in Puerto Rico, I agreed with Daniela.
Please bring back the Co-host split pay! That made Co-hosting WAY simpler and easier. Having to now create invoices and make a payment later to the Co-host makes Co-hosting not worth the hassle. Its much more difficult. Please bring back the Co-host split pay.
Thank you
