Hi folks, we’re working to improve your guest messaging experience with some new search and filter capabilities for the host inbox.
As members of this private community, you’ll all get early access to these new features through our beta testing program.
In a nutshell, we plan to add the ability to do the following over time, starting with 1 and 2:
How our beta program works:
If inbox search interests you, we’d love to hear any feedback you have for us here in the forum! Topics include:
Thanks!
Hi folks, i'm happy to share the news that we've started the beta for Inbox search!
This first release covers two use cases, and is now live on the Web (native apps coming soon):
You should see the search box in your Web account like this (please direct message me here in the community if you don't see it):
We welcome any and all questions and suggestions, thanks in advance for sharing your feedback!
Note: the next release will support filtering by listing, which we know is an important use case.
@Scott I can see it in my search box and it looks super helpful!
Thats for making the platform even easier to navigate 🙂
Hi folks, just a quick check-in to see if there are any changes you'd like us to make to Inbox search? Thanks.
This will be a welcome update. 1 & 3 most useful to us. I agree with the other poster who said it would be helpful to be able to sort by "internal name" when filtering by listing. Many of our identical listings have the same title.
Hi all,
greetings from Italy!
Me too, I agree that filtering for listing is the most important. And I have only 2 listings!
Maybe I don't remember the names, but I remember in which listing they staid
Hello to all!
I think it's a good idea to filter for listing, it's very important!
I take the opportunity to write here a question:
Should be possible to make a research by any keyword? I try to better explain mayself:
For example, I'm hosting a Guest asking me in which Florentine Church He/She can visit the famous Giotto's Crucifix.
I remember that in the past, many months ago, I already suggested the same Church to an other Guest, but, in this moment I don't remember the name of the previous Guest (to search by), and I don't remember the name of the Church and all the detailed informations I gave.
So, If I could have the opportunity to write "Giotto's Crucifix" I could have access to all the previous detailed informations I gave many months ago and, I could copy all of them to the new Guest asking to me.
Hi @Alessandra18 this is a great question, thanks for asking.
We call this scenario "keyword message search" and it's definitely a use case we intend to support.
I don't have a concrete timeline to share yet, but we are working on it.
Goodmorning Scott!
Thanks so much!
Have a great week
Alessandra
Hi folks, wanted to let everyone know that Inbox Filter by Listing is now in beta on web. (It will roll out to iOS and Android apps next week.)
Please Direct Message me if you don't see the new filter in your account, and let us know if you have any feedback or requests. Thanks! 🙏
It took me a few minutes to figure out how to access it but it works great on my end!
Thanks for the work on this 🙂
Best,
Hi Scott,
No that tooltip was not displayed to me.
Thank you,
@Scott The filter is there for me but no tool tip. Also it took me a while to find it (probs due to lack of tool tip).
I actually think this may be slightly dangerous as I, among others, might forget to switch the filter off and hence not see messages from other listings.
Hi @Mike-And-Jane0 thanks for the feedback on missing the tooltip, we're looking into that.
Re: forgetting to switch off the listing filter, that's great feedback as well. We do display a count of current to mitigate that issue (see below). Any thoughts on that as a solution?
