I’ve noticed that my apartment’s performance has declined, and this is the first time I’ve experienced this. Could it be possible that Airbnb has shadowbanned me or pushed my listing to the bottom of the search results?
Hi @Alex13203
When I search Chepstow Crescent, 6 guests, you're on page 6. There are other listings on page 1 that are near your price range, but most seem to be cheaper. The search strongly prefers lower prices.
Your page shows a prominent note about June/July bookings - is that for 2024 or 2025? It's always good to update the page to show the algorithm that you're keeping your listing current.
thank you for your message, appreciate...
but.... LOL... if I look into the map the apt is not show at all, also I keep updating an polish the apt, not everyday but almost, new amenities or changing details to be more correct ... so I'm surprise the search do not show the apt.
price? ok understand but my apt is huge so I cannot lower the price to much, accommodate 6 or more ppl ...
@Alex13203 if you relax your cancellation policy it will also help you rank higher - you can check the search results to see the rankings of listings with free cancellation in your area
Hello @Alex13203
Is it possible that when you mention to guests that your property is for sale and that visits from estate agents are possible (with their permission) during their stay, that this might be causing uncertainty as to their holiday plans should you end up finding a buyer? Competition has become so tough for many of us that there is no short supply of other possible listings plus a general difficult economic climate for many resulting in lower bookings.
Alex, may I make a suggestion? All of your top 5 pictures show the outside of the house/garden. There are some fabulous inside pictures that would paint a better picture of the house so that guests can see at a glance what your lovely place actually offers 😊
Super @Joelle43. Goood insight view on my apt. The apt is not for sale anymore so I will check the description to change that.
my main concern I cannot see the apt on the London map. Doesn’t shows anywhere near. On search like others sudgest my apt is on 5th or 6th page. Maybe for the price is fine. But in maps it doesn’t come up at all….
Hi @Alex13203
Just to be clear, which map are you talking of - is it the Airbnb map or some other map?
Another question! I'm curious, when you make a search, do you put in specific dates, at least 4/5 guests and 3 bedrooms?
@Shelley159 found you on the Airbnb site on page 6 which is not bad and when I made a private search for a 3 bed Nottinghill listing, I saw that there were over a 1000 listings available but found you on page 5 nevertheless😊 When you consult your stats and views, what are they like?
Hi @Joelle43 yes it sounds right, page 5 makes sense if you searched for 3 bed Notting Hill. My search was Chepstow Crescent, 6 guests, no filters.
@Alex13203 if you are around page 6 for Chepstow Crescent and page 5 for Notting Hill, that automatically means you won't find yourself on the Airbnb map if you use the search term "London". There are only 15 pages with results per search, and "London" adds too many neighbourhoods at once when you broaden the search so much, meaning your listing will drop out of the first 15 pages. The map and the search results are the same - the map just shows what's on the results list.
Your guests are very likely searching much more specifically for your area in London, so I wouldn't worry too much about not ranking high in a very general search. The idea is to find where you rank in a search of your neighbourhood, and to then change things to rank higher in that search (this will automatically also move you higher in a general search, but not necessarily high enough to rank in London when someone does a very broad search).
