Airbnb messages in un-readable text

Hi everyone,

The last two reservation l received were completely unreadable text.
They are from different senders, and both are in the same format.
I tried to google translate it but + it did not recognize any language.
Please see in the photo how it looks.
Any help will be appreciated.

Many thanks,
Samy

Looks to be an unsupported language, @Samy73, but I'm assuming they won't both from the same country?

@Samy73

Samy, it's computer language, it is not decipherable, it's a series of symbols, nothing more. I put it through my keyboard symbols and more than half did not come up as recognizable computer interaction!

With the current flow of information through the Airbnb platform this situation of 'double speak' is going to arise. There is every probability that a reservation will arrive shortly in a language that you will understand if it is a genuine reservation request.....if it doesn't, report it to Airbnb  and let them deal with it.

In your Airbnb account settings you would have specified a language you wished you communications to arrive in. Anything outside that should not be regarded as irrelevant.

Give CX a call if you are concerned!

Cheers......Rob

@Samy73   That is an Inquiry, not a Request. You don't have to decline or pre-approve it; the only action you need to take is to reply in some way. Simply saying that the text is unreadable would be fine.

If you're getting illegible text in correspondence for a confirmed booking, that would be a real problem.

Thank you all for your response.

Both request are with english names, so I don't think it is a language issue.
I also tried to copy the text to an online decoder but it didn't recognize the decoded.

Both request were canceled.
Anyway I contact Airbnb with this.

Thank you all for the help!

@Samy73  Did you understand @Anonymous's reply? These were not requests or reservations. They were Inquiries, which is different.
