Critique my listing - Grant in Katikati, NZ

Hi all 🙂

We are a small family owned holiday park (campground) with a house, motel units, cabins & campsites near Katikati, New Zealand.

We are trying to improve our Airbnb listings as they seem to be underperforming, only receiving bookings for our bungalow (house) which is listed here https://www.airbnb.co.nz/rooms/52170618 and very few for our other listings such as 

Motel unit: https://www.airbnb.co.nz/rooms/52170317 

Cabin: https://www.airbnb.co.nz/rooms/52192591 

We recently added a pet friendly cabin:

Is there something we are missing in our listings or not quite doing right? We did have some images with text (photos of our park map) that I removed from all listings as I wondered if we were being penalised.

We just don't seem to be coming up very highly in search compared to our competitors.

It's great to have you here with us, and thank you for turning to our community for some feedback! How long have you managed this campground? Are all your campground properties listed on Airbnb or only a some for now?  😊

Thanks @Rebecca, it's great to be here. We have all our units (cabins + motel units) listed here on Airbnb. Our powered / unpowered campsites are not listed on Airbnb however as we aren't sure of the demand for those kind of listings?

@Grant343 It looks like you have an amazing place. My first thought is you need to name each cabin/motel unit. Give each a them name like "Fido's retreat" for the pet friendly cabin. Lean into the theme with each cabin/motel unit. People love a theme stay here on AirBnB. I would also say your main image and the next four images need to grab people, it is your "hook". That should be the image that each part of the property separates you from your competition. Most people who get on the platform are visual people and they look at images before reading the text. You have some things that separate you from a lot of your competition. I would show them first in pictures, then the rest of the property. I think adding descriptions back for each picture would help.

Appreciate the insight @Joe771, really useful feedback. It's quite hard to lean into the theme as we're a bit limited to our naming Motel units/Cabin 1, 2, ..., 6 with our booking system but we can definitely work on improving our images. Thanks again!
