Default settings overriding seasonal requirements
Has anyone else experiences this? I've gone back and forth with support and they still don't seem to get it. I've shared screen shots an everything. My property is seasonal i want to have my default be 7 night stays with check ins on sat during high season. During low season I want 3 might min check in when ever. When I set my default to high season configuration and then add a seasonal requirements for low season, my property doesn't show for stays less then 7 nights during a low season month like January. Very frustrating that I have to change my default to low season configuration and have to keep updating my seasonal requirements with my high season configuration. Of course there is risk if I don't do the update in time. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

@Brian427 You need to turn on professional hosting tools and use the colorcoded rule sets. https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/2499/how-can-i-use-professional-hosting-tools
You will create a rule set for a 3-night minimum and select the low season dates you want to apply it to. Then create a rule set for a no check-in except Saturday and a 7-night minimum and select the high season dates you want to apply it to.
Keep your default settings as the default and always make changes with the rulesets. Every time you apply a "rule" make sure to look at your live listing page (from the guest perspective) to make sure the calendar is allowing bookings as intended. Sometimes you will have to play around with it.

Airbnb support doesn't know what rule sets are. i filed a bug report years ago. R&D probably never saw it. They have a problem with globals/defaults and local modifications. Pretty basic coding error. VRBO has it right. Each day has a set of attributes that get updated based on the locals.

Thanks Emily for the information. However I think the app should work the way it is intended. Default values should only be used if a seasonal configuration is not in place. It is very frustrating no on at airbnb seems to understand the issue.
