Default unavailable - can’t make dates available more than 1 year out.

I have dates unavailable by default. When I made dates available beyond a year out, they continue to be unavailable for bookings even though they appear available on my calendar. Help desk says this is a feature, not a bug. Yet, there is no mention of a one-year restriction anywhere on the Airbnb website.

Has anyone experienced this?  How can we be sure help desk responses are authoritative when they reference hidden policies?

@Donald220

I simulated to book on your listing in september 2021 for 1 week from 13th to 20th. It looks as normal to me, as it gives me the quote.

It even says

"This is a rare find.

Donald's place is usually booked."

Thanks @Emiel.  It’s available now because I switched the default to available, which was what Airbnb Support instructed me to do. The problem with that is that I then have to make sure to keep blocking dates up to 3 years out so I don’t accidentally get bookings before I’ve even set a price.
