Hi, today I booked a 4 nights in Brooklyn from the 9th to the 13th and I sent a message to the host regarding our arrival time at the apartment. I haven't received any response yet. My concern is that this host does not have any review and tomorrow afternoon at 3:00pm is the deadline to cancel and have a full reimbursement.

When you first booked did you not get a thank you message?
Somewhere on the host profile it give a response rate if that helps.
Sounds dodgy, cancel would be my thoughts

I only received the emails from Airbnb with the reservation info. Nothing from the host. I think I am going to cancel. As you noticed, it is not a clear thing
@GianPaolo50 The host phone number will be in the confirmation email that airbnb sent.
@GianPaolo50
All communication should be through the messaging on Airbnb. If your are trying to send host emails they may not be seeing them or going to Airbnb.
The host should have sent you check in instructions though the messaging.
If they haven't done that yet and you haven't gotten a message, I would contact CS and cancel as @Sudsrung0 suggested. They may try to get in touch with the host. You should also be able to see the host phone number, which you could try, but at this point let CS contact them. Avoid communication outside of Airbnb messages. This should be more clear to both host and guest. I think sometimes guest try to respond to text notification and it says to use the ABB app and they just don't bother.
I agree with all you said. I sent the message through airbnb not using any external tool. I was looking for a phone number to text the host but I didn’t find it. Unfortunately this was a short notice reservation as we are coming for a funeral, so I didn’t have the time to try to get in touch with the host through your customer service. but I really appreciate the support that you and @Sudsrung0 have provided.
Thank you
Is it a whole listing @GianPaolo50 if so it's likely to be an illegal listings as my understanding is that there is a minimum of one month lets for short term rentals under NYC legislation.
Ask Airbnb to reach out to the host. If Airbnb can't confirm it's a legitimate listing then I would cancel and find a hotel (unless you want shared accommodation).
