I am glad to be here

I am from Uganda, East Africa; we recently moved to a bigger house and thought we would use this opportunity to make new friends and meet new people by sharing extra space in our home. I have operated an Airbnb before, but not in my own house. I want to try out this new adventure,  joining the community. I want to hear from other hosts, their experiences, and how they have managed to sustain this venture; I will be glad to hear and learn from each one of you, as well as share my experience with you all.

Terrific choice ! We host in our home, it is wonderful. We get to offer very personal hospitality, and have not encountered any of the issues that we hear about constantly from hosts who offer a whole house where they do not live. Best wishes for a terrific experience!

I think maybe you need to think about what your willing to live with in the home you live?  Living room has a sleeping area for basically strangers doesn't sound like a comfortable plan for you or th Guests,  I suggest eliminate that option on your listing have designated shared areas and designated private areas.

If you have 2 bedrooms, a suggestion I do is a listing for each bedroom and a 3rd listing that offers 2 bedrooms, you can link calendars to prevent overbooking but you don't eliminate a potential market that only needs 1 bedroom.
