Instant Booking Occurred Despite Instant Book Being Turned Off

Hi Airbnb Support,

I recently had a guest book my villa, even though Instant Book is turned off in my listing settings. The booking was made for October 5, and I did not approve the request beforehand.

Could you please help me understand how this happened and ensure that future bookings require my approval as intended? I want to make sure my settings are correctly configured to avoid this issue moving forward.

We are a community of hosts. We can give advice, but in this instance I'm not sure why the booking went through if Instant book was turned off at the time.

 

You can change the drop-down menu at the top from Community center to Help Center to contact Airbnb support and reference the specific booking.

Keep us updated on how it is resolved, or send screenshots if it's not - perhaps someone here has an idea!
