Looking for a host in Southern California / Los Angeles

Hi,

I'm looking for a homeowner who can host my tiny home on wheels on their driveway or backyard.  I will pay $30/night (up to ~$1000/month).

Requirements:

- The tiny home is 20' long x 8' wide, your driveway or yard must be able to fit it, with some clearance.

- Your home must be in the greater LA/OC area.  Torrance / Carson / Garden Grove / Redondo Beach area preferred.

- Must have be in a city that doesn't need STR permit (or you have one already)

- Starting December or January-ish

- I will fully manage it (professional cleanings, guest interactions, and the Airbnb listing itself)

There's no commitment, we can try it for one guest stay and see if it works out.  I can tow it away between stays if needed.

I've been hosting for 5 years and am a Superhost.  I want to starting host in Los Angeles 🙂

Please let me know if there are any questions or suggestions, thanks in advance!

Hi, James! I wish I could help and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. My post was for a client that the law firm where I am a legal assistant represents-and it was a condo.

I do have one idea. If you are willing to compensate me, it might be clever to make a flyer similar to the ones of realtors and I could go door-to-door in the communities you mentioned that appear to match the required stats. I am an self-employed, so this is something I could make time for if it were worthwhile and considered the fuel cost as I reside in Hollywood, and of course, if you like the idea!

Wishing you the best in this endeavor!

AJ

Hi @James2329

I don't know about LA but in the UK you need to apply for planning permission to put accommodation at a property you own to use it for commercial use.  What do planning regs say about this in LA?

Quite honestly $30 a night is unlikely to be enough for someone to have the inconvenience of having strangers using a tiny home parked on their land. They are likely to have the guests knocking on their door if they have any issues linked to the tiny home you want to put on the owners property.

Why don't you see if there is a caravan park or similar that you could hire to do this at.

hey there if you want a nice place in Colorado to park your tiny house get in touch ! i have two options wheat ridge home or bailey home!
