Hi there,
I'm looking for advice on how to override my restricted check in days for just a few weekends of the year. We have restricted check in days of Sat and Sun but there are a few weekends of the year where I would like to override this so we can accept bookings beginning Sat and Sun.
I have tried to 'create a rule' and in doing so not clicked any restricted check in days for that rule but the weekends are still blocked on my calendar.
Many thanks
Sarah

You should be able to apply the rule beyond your availability window @Sarah6154 , but I agree you could still run into trouble as time goes by.
Many hosts set the availability window to "unavailable by default" to make sure you have time to check the rule sets before making dates available manually.
Hi @Sarah6154
You're using the Professional Tools multi-calendar, correct?
If I understand correctly, you can just delete the rule with the check-in restrictions on the specific weekends that you want people to be able to check in and out. In other words, go to those dates and change the rule to "none".
Unless there are other aspects that you want to control, there's no need to apply a rule to those dates and you can just leave it on "none".
You need to go to the guest view afterwards and double-check that this works as intended.
Let us know if this doesn't solve the issue.
Hi Shelley,
Thanks for your reply. Yes I'm using professional hosting tools.
My restricted check-in days were set using the Settings>Availability>Restricted days and therefore apply to my whole calendar and is not a rule that I have created.
I have tried to create a rule for the dates I'd like to override, and in the rule I have not applied any restricted check in days but this has not worked.
Many thanks
Sarah
Ah yes I don't think that will work @Sarah6154 - the rule in the regular calendar will keep Saturdays and Sundays blocked.
Rather remove the restricted days from the regular calendar (don't tick any restricted days there), and use professional tools to make a rule that blocks Saturday and Sunday from check-in. Then apply this rule everywhere except where you don't want it.
Hi Shelley,
Ah ok, it seems a more complicated way (and risky if I forget to apply the rule when new calendar opens) 😳
Thanks for your reply and patience with me!

Ok, I’ll take a look at that. Thanks for the solution 🙂
