Pet Fees

Good morning,

Our pet fee is $50. We have an upcoming guest who will be bringing three pets, and this is the first guest who's bringing multiple pets.

For future reference, how much more should we charge for additional pets so that we don't have to clean up after an entire kennel for only $50?

Please advise when you can, and thank you!

Thank you for your quick response. My sister and I only started our Airbnb at the beginning of the year so we're still learning. We're so grateful for this chat board!

@Leigh625  Our pet fee is $75 per rental for up to 2 pets.  It is in the text of our listing and in our RULES. This is reiterated in our written acknowledgement of the guest booking and our rental agreement that is sent to the guest.  

When we have had a guest tell us that they wish to bring additional pets, they are immediately advised that the pet fee will have to be increased by $30 for each additional pet, and that an AirBnB resolution request will be sent for the additional amount. Responsible pet owners are more than happy to pay for their pets.   

The guest response to the listed Pet Fee and a proposed increase for the additional pet(s) is important.  I appreciate the owners who tell me about their multiple pets and ask about the fee.  I hold the bargain seeking owners of so-called ESAs and fake service dogs in contempt.
