Hello Airbnb Community,
I was wondering if someone could please provide me with some feedback and general thoughts as to why I am not receiving any bookings on my listing in Budapest? We we're fully booked over the summer (July/August), but bookings have slowed down and we have only received one since our last booking in August. I've looked at comparable listings and I feel that our space stand-outs in terms of design, location and the view. I would love to hear anyone's input into how I can enhance the listing and secure some more bookings in the near future.

When you started up what research did you do around demand for your sort of listing in your location and what were likely to be high and low seasons. @Silvia2577
many areas are suffering from falling demand and oversaturated markets for STRs.
you can list across various relevant STR platforms and set yourself up to take direct bookings .
Hello @Silvia2577, Welcome to our Community! Budapest is on my bucket list; the landscapes there look incredible 😊
I'd like to share a guide >>here, created by our amazing Host, @John7474, about tips to improve your listing. This might offer you some insights. Additionally, I'd like to invite some of our fantastic Hosts to share their opinions on your listing: @Nur785 @Bettye6 @Eileen462 @Debra300
Good luck,
Hello @Silvia2577
What a beautiful place you have! I think you listing looks great!
I notice that our bookings come in waves.. sometimes there is lots of interest and other times not so much.
It makes sense that the summer was busy, as there are lots of tourists during that time. Again, your listing is well done and I am sure things will pick up.
Best,
John
Hi @Silvia2577 ,
WELCOME TO THE COMMUNITY!
I have yet to look at the other comments to be unbiased so to speak.
Your place is beautiful but I find it too balnd in the pictures
-No clutter is good but there is no pictures on the wall (though your views are spectacular). I would add a some colorful local artisans' paintings on the walls, nic-nacs (as we say in USA) on tables, shelves, etc. Not too much but just a touch of color to bring warmth to your place.
-Your pictures are excellent though you only need a day/night of the Parliament building, don't over do it. Are their other places nearby to take pictures that one can to walk to like popular markets, museums, fountains, park that you can highlight in your listing as well?
-You have a chair against a door. Where I live that is a big No-No. Lookin at your layout it appears to me to be a pantry door? Call that out unless it is locked and inaccessible.
-Last I need to call out that their are major horrible conflicts going on in our world. People I know that travel often are not planning trips this winter as world peace is too unstable and the climate changes are questionable. I hate to be a pessimist but I feel in the next year conflicts will be growing and with that tourism will be in a decline.
I myself am reluctant to travel too far until these flare ups of terrible atrocities slow down or come to some mediation. My word, I'm hearing hostages are now being taken!
I LOVE that you have what appears to be live plants in your place. Excellent!!!
The best of luck to all of us.
My best suggestion is to focus on your local market for now, whether it be social media, web site, joining local travel groups in your area....just focus on your locality and see if that helps.
The best of luck. I love you place, your reviews are great. Hope to meet one day!
