My property is available right now ,How do I push for reservations
Hello
I have currently set my preparation time on my listing to block 1 night before and after each reservation (because of the extra time required for the Covid extensive cleaning protocol ) and I just wondered why someone can still book for tonight on the calendar?
Any advice gratefully received! 😉
Jillie
@Jillie1 do you have someone checking out yesterday or today? If so, nobody should be able to book tonight. (Preparation time is different from advance notice.)

No, I haven't had any bookings yet since Covid. My calendar was showing up as available earlier today but I see now it's been blocked off.
@Jillie1 preparation time only applies to time between stays. So it won't apply in this case, since there is no previous booking. Advance notice is the time you require between booking and check-in. See the link above.
@Lisa723 Many thanks for your repies and I see what you mean re. preparation time without previous booking but I did both........i.e. 1 day's notice and 1 day's preparation time as I thought I should do belt and braces with Covid about!
@Lisa723 I've just checked my availability for bookings today and it does look like the 1 day's advance notice setting I put in place still isn't working as someone can book for this afternoon?
Hi @Lisa723 I've just had another further look at my settings in availability for reservations and see where the problem lies. For some reason the box that says "For Instant Book hosts: allow guests to send reservation requests without advance notice" was ticked, unbeknown to me. So all sorted now & thanks very much for your input.
Very best wishes, Jillie
