I'm a new host. My first property is called The Saddlery. Its a converted barn tucked away, on the outskirts of Ashford. I'm thinking of changing the title of the property to 'The Saddlery Barn Retreat' and wondered what people thought of this change?
I would really appreciate any feedback on the listing too, so all thoughts welcome. Thanks so much in advance.

Hi
Wow – what a beautiful place! The interior is incredibly appealing, and it’s the kind of place you'd want to live in anytime. Writing great titles that make people click and appeal to Airbnb’s search algorithm and Google SEO is a bit of a science, and something that can be really valuable to understand as a host.
I've attached 3 links to Airbnb and external resources that can guide you on what works well and what doesn't when crafting a good title.
I just went through them, and one thing they highlight is focusing on your location in the title, especially if it's attractive to guests. You already mention Kent and The Garden of England, so that might be a good place to start(?):

– Another thing, although you didn’t specifically ask for advice on this, is about your photos. They are lovely, bright, and inviting, and it’s crucial to choose a cover photo that stands out, which I think you’ve already done really well.
It’s also important to carefully select the first five images, as these are what potential guests will see in the second step when they click into your listing on a PC. Including a picture of the surroundings could be great here since it's a key selling point for you, and people have already clicked on your listing because of your charming walls with timber frames.
To improve your ranking on Airbnb, it's crucial to encourage guests to engage with your listing—whether that's by sending you a message, adding your place to their wishlist, or making a booking. Since people often click in and out of listings quickly, you want to capture their interest immediately. The best way to do this is by showcasing five standout images that effectively convey the full experience you're offering, persuading them to stay and explore further.
Just an idea for you to consider...
I hope these tips are helpful.
Best regards,
Karen
Hi again @Kelly2411
I noticed that the link to Airbnb was formatted incorrectly. Here’s the correct one:

It’s beautiful! I agree with adding more photos of the surrounding areas to mix it up a little on the first few photos. And I would change the name so it’s a little more catchy. Good luck!
Hi,simply a good communication with the guest ,informations regarding activities arround, make them feel at home,
offering a coffee or some local cakes or fruits.
Hi there!
Congrats on starting your hosting journey and what a charming property you have! I think "The Saddlery Barn Retreat" is a great title change. Adding “Barn Retreat” makes the listing sound more relaxing and appealing to guests looking for a peaceful countryside getaway. It also gives a bit more context to what the space actually is.
A few thoughts on the listing to help attract more bookings:
Photos: Your photos are beautiful, but you might want to consider adding more images that highlight the surrounding area, like the garden or nearby landscapes. Guests love to see where they’ll be staying, and exterior shots can help showcase the tranquil location.
Description: Your current description is good, but you could emphasize the experience more. Mention details like “perfect for a quiet retreat” or “ideal for families or couples seeking a cozy countryside escape.” You might also want to highlight any nearby attractions or activities in Ashford.
Guest Experience: Since it’s a converted barn, you could play up the rustic charm by mentioning unique features of the property—whether it’s original wood beams, high ceilings, or anything else that adds character.
Amenities: Make sure your amenities are clearly listed and that guests know about any extra perks—like parking, Wi-Fi, or outdoor spaces.
Overall, I think you’re off to a great start! Small tweaks like the name change and a bit more detail on the listing could really help catch people’s attention. Best of luck with hosting!
Hi @Kelly2411,
To be completely fair, using a brand name like "The Saddlery" in the title, especially for a new listing, might not be the best approach right now. Guests are more likely to click on your listing if the title includes descriptive keywords and highlights your best amenities to attract more attention. The title and your hero image are crucial for drawing in potential guests.
You can still add "The Saddlery Barn Retreat" in the description to maintain the personal touch of your property's name. That way, you get the best of both worlds—visibility and branding.
Good luck!
