Transfer my Listing advice

We have sold our property and the new owners would like to continue listing on Air BNB. Is it possible to transfer the listing to them, keeping the same descriptions, pictures & rating? Perhaps a link to the proper place to look? I've looked in the Help section and see no assistance for this..

TIA,

Helen

No, unfortunately there is not way to transfer a listing to another owner on Airbnb. All the reviews (ratings) stay with you and are also not transferrable to the buyer. The buyer will have to create a new listing. Hopefully you have blocked your calendar so as not to accept any new bookings and have discussed with the buyer how you will be handling this. You will have to honor your existing bookings (if you cancel them, you will be fined for the cancellations).

I would advise the new owners to get their own photos done and not use the same descriptions, etc. Airbnb has an automated feature to suspend duplicate listings. This is mostly done to prevent a listing with bad reviews from simply creating a new one for the same property. Although it doesn't seem to be the case for your property, I would advise the buyer to be careful not to duplicate anything from your listing in theirs. They may still have an issue with this, as the system will see there are (2) listings with the same address with different owners.

Hello @Helen3650

I'm afraid Airbnb don't allow hosts to transfer their listing to someone else.  You'll have to delist your existing listing so that the new owners can set it up under their profile which will have to verified and they will have to start from scratch making sure that they are in compliance with all the local laws.

Our listings and all our reviews are linked to our personal profiles and are non transferable.

@Joelle43 makes a good point @Helen3650

The new owners will have to comply with an local licensing and regulations for short term rentals and also ensure the proper taxes are being collected and paid on bookings to the proper taxing authorities. This includes local and state.

Thank you, kind of what I figured, but thought I would ask.

Hi @Helen3650

As Joan and Joelle mentioned listings are not transferable . This is to protect guests who book in good faith based on your ratings and reviews . The new hosts may not operate to your standards .

can you imagine if you booked with a five star Superhost only to arrive and find the property didn't have the initial amenities promised under the original host and wasn't clean on arrival because the management had changed without you being aware .  (As an example).

if the new host isn't changing any amenities or furniture you could share your photos with them but I would suggest they use their own copy based on what they feel they can deliver .

Hopefully you haven't taken any longer term bookings so can agree a sale date after your last booking completes.

@Helen3 Understood. I am trying to sell the entire unit with the furniture as is so they can indeed use my pictures. And I have blocked all reservation dates into the future.. will remove the listing after the last person stays there..

Probably easier to snooze your listing so you don't get any further views/bookings  @Helen3650

I've just checked your calendar and it's completely open long into the future so you definitely haven't blocked your calendar .

Thanks for the alert. Just went in to block up to a year in the future. After April 10 of this year I will make the listing inactive...
