I'm trying to book a reservation and every time I get to the summary screen, it says "Update your trip details to get accurate pricing and more."
All of the details are there and it happens regardless of the house I pick. Any ideas?
Thanks
has anyone solved this yet? noone at airbnb will help me.
No one will help me either. I have been a super host since 2015. Now i'm a traveller. And now I cant get a place to stay.
Did they fix it for you?
Any resolution?
I’m having the exact same issue. It appears the solution is to wait until Airbnb resolves it. Nothing on this thread has worked for me and I’m just going to make another account. This is way too frustrating to even think about.
Hi All,
Hope everyone has been well aside from the serious incompetence from Airbnb support to resolve problems. Joining this thread to hopefully provide some insight to all those confused. I ended up connecting to a live chat agent who informed that the reason this was showing for my account was due to account suspension from an alleged unauthorised payment for a booking I had made 6 months ago. Airbnb had sent me an email about it but did not message my Airbnb's account inbox (which should've been done for improved alerting, visibility and actually helping me become aware of the situation).
As a suggestion, I would recommend trying to connect to someone via live-chat or phone to see if this could be the same situation for you all, but I suspect it has something to do with restrictions being placed on your account.
On a side note, I would just like to highlight the appalling experience Airbnb has provided to resolve the situation. As soon I was made aware about the issue, I provided all the evidence to show that the transaction had been processed and that payment was made. For whatever reason, I was told that Airbnb's records showed differently. It's been 4/5 days since I initially opened this case and the support ever since has been dreadful. No interim solution has been provided, response times have been 48-72 hours (despite having actioned all recommendations) and a serious single point of failure has been highlighted, where no one from other teams, or other individuals outside of the assignee to the case can do anything.
I have noted several times I have urgently needed to book a place for several days, yet no action has been made and I have checked several times that the payment has processed on my side. This is truly one of the worst support experiences I have ever had and it does take a lot for me to complain publicly about something.
Best of luck to everyone else and I truly do sympathize of those that have needed to resolve an urgent problem in much worse situations.
My issue was resolved after about 60-90 days.
Noone ever reached out from airbnb. I called almost every day the first week as i was traveling and in desperate need. I was given a very polite run around each time from the phone / chat reps about the case being 'elevated' and someone would be in touch, but no one ever contacted me.
After about 60-90 days the account just started working again.
Good luck, my immediate advice is start looking elsewhere, the phone / chat reps can't help solve this issue in my experience.
I still have no idea why my account go locked or how it was fixed.
But i am glad it is, and i hope you find good fortune and safe travels.
I'm having the same issue and have been having it all week. My trip is next week. I've tried to contact staff and it gives me an error there too. It's very irritating - I've tried iOS, I've re-updated/confirmed my picture and government ID as someone suggested, I've tried Chrome on my laptop, I've cleared my cookies. Nothing. Super frustrating and stressful, especially since I've had my account since 2017.
I got a solution after opening a chat with support who then left it and didnt reply for an hour.
I called them and they said there was a verify by visa payment window wanting to pop up . I turned off and on my pop up blocker and it now works .
They could not say why it did not work on the app with this issue as on the app there is no pop up and also stated this was probably from a previous attempted booking .
Dont know if this will help others.
I had the same issue and I contacted support on chat. They escalated the issue quickly, verified that I was verified.
They then told me that it was a known issue, that they would have to refer the issue to engineering, and refused to give me any timetable for a fix. They said that they would be closing the issue but that I shouldn't worry. It's been several days and nothing is fixed.
I agree with others that the situation seems pretty insane. I'm trying to book $10k worth rentals for series of trips for large groups and I'm going to have to do it on another platforms because Airbnb simply won't take my money.
This is absolutely insane. I run a successful airbnb business with millions in revenues and because of this issue guests can't book our listings and we are losing thousands of dollars a day. I can't believe it's taking so long, can't believe it. We first informed airbnb on Monday and it's been already 4 days. A disaster.
Has anyone solved this problem???
I got this update your trip thing to stop by turning my pop up blocker off. I think someone said this a few comments up but I think it's so the payment/debit card verify can pop up. It worked for me and my wife's and myself both had that stupid message coming up on when we tried to pay for our trip! hopefully it works for anyone who's having this issue also
How do you turn off the pop up blocker?
Very good. I'll get a hotel. All the ones I checked I get the same. So, sorry, Hosts, I win you lose.
