Who should own the listing account? Property owner or 3rd party host?

Hello, I would appreciate any views/experiences/suggestions regarding the following:

The scenario...

- Current listing account is owned by the previous property owner who never hosted himself, nor had access to the account.

- The account was and still is being managed by a third party co-host.

- Payments are currently directed to the new owner of the property.

- The Iisting has obtained several great reviews over the past two years under the new ownership and same co-host. 

Would it be sensible to shut down the account and loose all the great reviews just to change the ownership of the listing on the platform?

@Kris3977 if you are happy with the performance of the co host then leave well alone. Starting again with you as host will, as you say, lose the reviews and will not make it any easier to sell as the next owner would need to start from scratch anyway.
