Hello,
Questions regarding "Lisiting not appearning in Search Results" are very common and I'd like to share some reasons why this could be happening and how you can view your listing on searching.
Before getting to the details, it is important to understand how search results are determined. The linked article talks about how Airbnb's complex ranking system uses different factors to reward hosts that deliver a great experience to guests. Focus on these factors to optimize your listing.
Let's understand why you might not be able to see your listing in the Search Results:
1) Your location might have more than 300 listings. For ease of display, Airbnb only displays 300 listings at a time and thus some listings, beyond 300, might not appear during a general location search without any filters.
However, if you make use of the multiple search filters that Airbnb has to offer (like Dates, No. of Guests, Room type, Price Range etc.) then you can perform a more specific and narrowed down search which might reduce the search results and your listing will then show up if it matches the filter criteria.
*Please note that, most guests make use of the filters while searching for a vacation home.
2) You can also make use of the map by zooming in closer to your location if your looking at a very large area. Use the '+' button to zoom in and '-' to zoom out. Reducing the area will further reduce the results and you will be able to see your listing. Don't forget to click on the "Redo Search Here" button on the top.
If your listing still continues to not appears,
3) Check if it is "Listed" and not in the "Delisted" mode. To do this, visit your Dashboard >> Your Lisitng >> Manage Listing and Calendar. Expand the Menu options by clicking on the grey icon with 3 horizontal bars on the left top. Look up at the bottom of the Menu that emerges to see if your listing is active. It should appear as "Listed" with a green dot. If it doesn't click on the drop down menu and change it to listed.
4) Still can't see it? Ask the Community to see if any of the members are able to see it on searching with relevant filters.
4) Yet no luck? Please get in touch with Airbnb and they shall definitely resolve your problem.
Happy Hosting 🙂

Thanks, but as I said, I know I am relisted now in August, my complaint is that without notice of any kind, I was DELETED in July. george
@George52. I would really like to know the wording you used for your threat...I am ready to do something. I have never rejected anyone and am solid booked from May to Oct and then nothing.
as a good number of guest use me because of my proximity to 2 large universities, it aint just the end of the tourist season.
In any event, using a map search and zooming in on my street should make me appear, but it doesn't. Perhaps it is just a glitch, but I am becoming a bit paranoid.
Hi,
I absolutely agree with what you wrote about the "boost". I first posted my apartment last week, got 3 bookings on the first day, then on day two another 2 bookings and 2 enquiries but then from day three nothing! I looked at my stats and the number of viewers rose and dropped dramatically exactly at that time. When I tried to fund my listing, I couldnt find it no matter if I used/didnt use filters, zoomed in/out of the map. Then I put my listing to "sleep" for a few minutes and then made it "live" again. It is showing but I havent had any bookings or enquiries anyway. Plus, theres no support helpline fir the Czech Rep. After reading all these conversations im seriously considering not to rely on Airbnb and start advertising elsewhwre as well because this is obviously not gonna get better....
me too have the same problem.
i am listed with airbnb for the last 5 yrs.
now my listing is vanished. and new comers listing shows twice and thrice in same page
not getting proper response from airbnb customer care
and one of the staff named aye was not ready to listen customers request
she always interfere when we try to tell whats really going on. she is not having good manners
how to talk with a customer
how can i contact airbnb customer care for this issue? Is there a phone number? I think my listig doesn't appear anymore because i rejected to many bookings in the past month, but it still appears listed with the green dot. anybody has manged to solve this and get back on the search result? even by zooming it is just not there:(
@Andrea222 Hi, Sorry I just saw your question to me. For some reason I do not get any posts when I subscribe to them. However, I could not have answered your question as I have no idea.
But Airbnb did call me a few times to explain algorithms!!!
Now, I rant - I know what they are and I know they are at best a "work in progress" and subject to more human error than the people who devise them wish to acknowlegde, often resulting in erroneous and biased results. I see them as a risky game that techies play with people's lives creating disorder and sometimes even worse - End of rant.
I hope your listing reappeared:) Mine did.
Hello everyone,
As this thread here is about search, I just wanted to hightlight that there will be an Airbnb webinar on 'How Search Works' on August 31st. This will talk about search and how to improve your search ranking - so worth tuning in for!
For more details and to submit any questions for the Q&A part, see the webinar post in the Announcement Board here in the CC.
Thanks,
Lizzie

Hi All,
I'm reading this thread because I'm seeing the same problem as well. I noticed that my listing dissappears if the requested date range is more than 27 days. A neighboring listing dissappears after 28 days, and another neighbor drops off after 25 days. Our schedules were all available during the date range; and I even tested it during a future date range starting on Feb 1, 2017. I did not use any other filters; just a date range. Same issue occurred.
UPDATE: I just noticed that my calendar was set to 30 days max length of stay. Why it then stops at 27 days is beyond me. I increased the number but after 20 minutes, it still not showing up and I need to go.
Just came across this thread (or rather, finally came across this thread after a loooong time searching). After years of using airbnb as a traveller, last year I decided to host. I live in a UNESCO world heritage town in southern France and many friends and acquaintances book full up in season, so I thought I'd give it a shot. From April 2016 when I started through July, I got just 1 request to stay. Just one. Other people here, even newbie hosts, like me, were full.
Trying to solve this mystery, it didn't take long for me to try a search for my own property. Hahaha, big surprise, it just doesn't show up on my town's opening default map (even though my street is on the default map view). This problem was confirmed by friends in other countries, continents, and languages.
However, if I zoom in on the map, then slide to the right, hovering over my neighborhood (which is a 10-minute walk from the historic center of town), my property shows up. If I zoom back out, it's gone.
Last year, when it was still possible to communicate with tech support by email, I received a convoluted response from someone telling me how if I use filters A, C, K, and W, my site shows up. Wonderful response. I took my site off airbnb.
Now I'm thinking about re-activating for 2017. I just looked and it's the same thing: many people I know have their places showing up. Many 'professionals' (those with 3, 4, 5, 10 listings, who in my humble opinion have completely denatured the airbnb experience) are right there in firstview.
Sorry to be so verbose about a problem apparently shared by many here. So even if I add nothing new to the conversation, it's a way of expressing how disappointed I am now with what airbnb has become. O, sharing economy, what have you become?
After seeing how many people are having similar problems to mine, and in an effort to express how disgusted I am that a $30 billion company, bastion of the 'sharing economy' (cough, hack) has made it so difficult to discuss the problem with someone responsable, I found a solution: I disactivated my listing and, having learned their are competing sites, I will try my luck there. Good luck to all of you.
I have also seen a huge decline in page views for one of my properties, and have had zero inquiries and requests over the past few weeks. I attribute the change to the four reservation requests I declined in early October -- each prospective guest requested available dates on my calendar but in their notes to the host, two prospective guests asked if they could bring their pet (I have a clear no pet policy); the other two prospective guests told me they'd be bringing extra guests (The listing clearly states 1 person maximum). All were new to Airbnb, and perhaps didn't realize they should have inquired about their rule exceptions prior to requesting a reservation.
Now that listing rarely shows up on Airbnb searches for my area, even when doing a map search. (I've checked on using friends' computers as well as my own.) I beleive Airbnb' s placement algorithm is the probable reason, and I'm not happy about this. I will try the suggestion to snooze the listing for a day and then relist to see if that helps. Everything else is in order -- extremely frustrating to be penalized for declining reservations requests with caveats that were not a good fit for my property.
Hi Guys,
Is airbnb still experiencing issues to get listings to show up ? None of my listings are showing up for Malta in November. I make a search for available dates and it doesn't show up. This is quite annoying as losing some potential revenues. Who can I contact in airbnb to get this solved ? Airbnb makes it so difficult to contact their team, that's not right, losing so much time each time I need to report an issue, just to find the way to get in touch ! 😞 Thanks for any advice, Kind regards, John.
Hi @John-DeluxeReservation0, how are you searching? Are you using any filters that pertain to your listings? If not, the search results are relatively meaningless....sort of like going to a library and not know how to look for the book you want.
I'd be happy to look at one or two of your listings if you like...don't have time for all 11!
Hi Clare,
Thanks a mil for your answer, much appreciated.
I did search using the filers and it doesn't show up.
My area otherwise is small, Malta is a small island.
If you try to type "Sliema", booking dates 16-20 NOV, searching just for this listing it would great !! https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/5495503
Thanks a mil for your support !
Best regards,
John.
