If i take a booking for guests arriving on 17 July and departing on 31 July, do i just block out 17 - 30th as if i block 17 - 31 it seems to stop me taking a booking for 31st if that makes sense?

If a guest book from 17-31st, the platform will block 17 to 31st.

There is a setting where you can automatically block the day before and after any booking, so you have time to clean / take a break.

To remove that, you need to go to your listing -> click on LISTING->Availability and go down to Reservation preferences (there says Preparation time - and you can choose to block 1 day, 2 days, or NONE). Select None, so you will be able to get one guest out and prepare the house and have a guest to check in on the same day.
