custom settings - do they over ride my standard check in dates that are set

So, my question is : by setting custom settings for periods such as Christmas, do these then over ride my standard check in dates? Ive altered prices and min and max stays over Christmas, but want the check in days to remain Mondays and Fridays, as per my standard calendar.

There a several ways to alter pricing and min/max stays, useally only the changes override the same settings, but it always advised to test on your own listing(s) if everything works as expected.

I looked at one of your listings, ir seems check-in is only possible on a monday or friday with 2 nights min., but on friday 24 dec min. stay is 3 nights
