Again..Remove Ability For Guests Who Cancel To Leave Reviews

This is so irritating. I'm a superhost and have been an Airbnb host for 7 years and this features needs to be changed. I swear EVERY MONTH I have to deal with a guest who never steps foot in the apartment because they cancelled for whatever reason and then when I don't give them a refund they leave a negative review. Then I have to have it sitting on my profile for days while Airbnb reviews it (because they won't review it before it posts) and then 95% of the time it's removed but I'm already damaged because potential guests would have seen it. This is so dumb. Please fix and remove this.

I understand the need for a guests who arrive at a place and find it horribly inaccurate or for hosts to want to cancel because a guest arrives and they feel unsafe and those are things future hosts and guests will need to see, but there needs to be an addition to the cancellation procedure that acknowledges when a guest never arrives and thus removes both their ability and the hosts to review each other.

@Martin280 Most here will agree with you. It's frustrating. Although I will say that I have received a 5-star review from someone who never showed and didn't get a refund (so it does depend on the nature of the guest.) I was grateful but good review or not, technically the review was not honest and not an accurate representation of the guest's stay. How could the guest rate the cleanliness, accuracy, location, or value when he never saw it?

I have always said that it doesn't make sense from the host's review side as well. How are you supposed to rate a guest on following house rules and cleanliness when they never showed?  Maybe if hosts start rating no-show guests will all 1 star, hindering their chances of future stays, Airbnb will realize the ridiculousness of such reviews.
