Use of filters is useless. One is presented with all sorts of properties that do not meet the filters. Is this an airb&b problem or owners' misrepresenting key words?  Either way it is very inefficient and annoying. Thoughts?

Hi @Griffith3

The filters that are available at the moment don't search in the text (so hosts can't misrepresent key words in their text descriptions to fool the filters). But you're right, hosts could potentially tick incorrect amenities in the amenities list, or misclassify the property type, etc. I don't know exactly what errors you found, but it's likely that those listings weren't correctly set up by the hosts. For example, if someone ticks "entire place" and it's actually a room inside a house, it'll show up in the wrong filter.

Where this is the case, it'll soon cause much bigger problems for the host than for any potential guest.

Sometimes owner tick the wrong box and other times Airbnb categorizes one in a category you never selected (I ‘ve been put in a golf category which I never selected but there is a golf course nearby). I’ve also heard of platform or app updates that somehow uncheck items or check items that were not selected by the owner. For example, I had the essentials crossed off and a guest who booked asked me did I not provide towels, soap, etc. Sure enough it was unchecked when it was before. I checked the box, informed the guest and shrugged it off as a tech update issue.
