What to expect on Whit Monday ?

I like the new flexible search: Using this, listings which usually are not on the first result page get a better chance to be booked.
I tried to use the Flexible search last month when booking a stay. I am very flexible but unfortunately, the new search parameters are not. You can only search for flexible weekends (Friday - Sunday), week-long stays, or monthly long stays. So it doesn't actually work for people who are looking to stay on flexible dates other than weekends.
@Emilia42 I'm not sure if the full functionality has been rolled out already. You should be able to search for any date with a flexibility up to plus-minus 7 days.
Ooooh yes @Till-and-Jutta0 you're a HAB man and may have more of the inside story....!! Did you have any advance clues? Tell all....!!!! I want to know......!!!
Hiya @Mary996 @Branka-and-Silvia0 @Till-and-Jutta0 @Emilia42
Please find the resource article here that shares information in a lot more detail, especially for Hosts.
Thanks,
Stephanie
@Emiel1 Thank you so much for that link... I got in and managed to watch it contemporaneously with you guys... but what a panic. Think there maybe another one or something else tomo. Am totally up for watching in company.
Thank you again x
I wonder if that guy Wayne Gretzky will stay with Brian's mum or Brian will cancel and bear 100$ penalty 🙂
New host facilities /design will be implemented in Europe on 15 december....
So still time to read it all
I think I'm sold @Emiel1 @Till-and-Jutta0 @Branka-and-Silvia0 @Emilia42 @Stephanie ... could lead to many more advance bookings? Must look at Stephanie's detail. See above.
I can already foresee problems with the new search features.
Guest searches for a place near Mount Rushmore and with a hot tub.
Results include places that are not near Mount Rushmore and do not have hot tubs.
Guest finds the cheapest listing, and assuming that it has a hot tub and is close to Mount Rushmore, he books it.
Guest arrives to find that the house is an hour away, and does not have a hot tub.
Guest sends a nastygram to host, claiming false advertising, demands a refund.
Host replies that they never said there was a hot tub, and is not sure why the guest thinks there was.
Guest involves Customer Service, who pressures host to give a refund.
Host gives a refund, and hopes guest gives a good review.
Guest gives a bad review, slamming the host on the fact that the place was not near Mount Rushmore, and there was no hot tub.
Host tries to get CS to remove the review on the basis of irrelevancy, as the location is accurately described and there was never any promise of a hot tub.
Customer service replies four days later, because it's not September yet, and we hosts are not priority. SC refuses to remove the review, saying that it was the guest's experience.
Also, I found it disturbing that Chesky gave the impression that anyone is allowed to list any property they want without the owner's knowledge, permission, or consent. I mean, I get why he was modeling how "quick and easy!" it is to list a place, but the little comments about "I'm sure they won't mind!" were disturbing.
@Jennie131 @Branka-and-Silvia0 It has already come. That's why guests are asking hosts like @Laura2592 if she has a pool. Guest filters for a pool and Laura's listing pops up in the search results as a "flexible filter" or whatever it's called.
