Is anybody else super anoyed with the confusing, ugly and difficult to navigate new dashboard?
What happened Airbnb?
Please bring back the old dashboard or at least let the users choose which one they want to keep!
@Alejandra780 you mean this page? https://www.airbnb.com/hosting/p/home
as @Emiel1 said - it's useless, who needs it=?
This dashboard is way better than what I have now, how do I get it? Mine now just says "your reservations" and "next steps for you". Totally useless.
I don't have this dashboard either. Mine shows the same as Mirco and Jamsmine0. The inbox tab on the top doesn't even show the number of unread messages. No review reminders, graphs, earnings, inquiries, NOTHING. Only reservation boxes.
I just noticed the new one. I like it! The only thing I used on the old one was to double check what days guest were checking in. I'm glad all the suggestions to give discounts, guest comments in subcategories, and history of inquiries is gone. The reminders to leave a review was helpful. But I didn't use the old one much. I could see using this one just to verify what days guest are checking in. I use the calendar for that but a second place to verify could be useful.
This is what it looks like. Hopefully will add a few other features. I like the ability to quickly message current and upcoming guest. Sometimes those can get buried in the inbox list and not as clear.
@John5097 I wouldn’t get too attached to it. Airbnb seems to specialize in making improvements only to snatch them back when they think no one is looking. The recent removal of the very helpful house rules banner from the top of our listings comes to mind. I’ve asked for an official word on that but haven’t heard anything back.
@Colleen253I don't think I'll be using it that much. It would save one click to check message history for upcoming guest. For me, though, it only says how many days out a guest is and doesn't include the day of the week. Although I don't think its a bad idea to have another place to double check that days activity. I'd say this is an improvment just because it got rid of all the spammy suggestions to offer discounts or longer stays. I also lost the weekend pricing tool. Now I'll need to manually change every weekend. And removing the list of rules will only lead to bad things for the host. The biggest change will be host option to issue full refund for last minute cancelation. If not expect retaliatory reviews, and irate, angry guest badgering host. Marking a reservation now is getting like the "maybe" option to attend an event on facebook. At least the new dashboard is an improvement as well as some of the added info with the amenities. 🙂
@Alejandra780 Haven’t even looked at the new version. I’ve always assigned your choice adjectives (with the addition of ‘demoralizing’, at #1 position) to the old version which is exactly why I’ve always avoided the pointless feature, lol. No surprise to me you have nothing nice to say about the new. My heart would stop with the surprise of it all the day Airbnb actually improved anything for its hosts.
