City ordinance will put a lot of us out of business
Our city is proposing an ordinance which would require a host to to consider their rental their main residence. This would put us out of business. Any suggestions from others who have dealt with this?
Difficult to comment as we don't know the terms of the legislation being proposed in your area (you don't seem to be a host as there is no listing on your profile. @Mike1961
The best advice based on the basic information you have given is to review the legislation to see if you can do STRs and if what you are saying is not STRs will be banned completely unless being offered as part of a home stay, look at long term rentals.
My wife is the host. Proposal states host (my wife) would have to live in STR 6 months yearly. We will probably be forced into LTR of over 30 days from the way it sounds.
